THE SHIMMERING

The Source is a Shimmering,
not the one world or the other,
but the in between where neither and both are.
A mystery, mysteriously strange and Other.

Flickering between ultimate black Void
and thousand-sun Being.
All opposites. Together. All at once.

Mind plays fool, pretends to cross this Torrent
on make-believe stones. Impossible to comprehend That
Which grows our essence with Its breath.

My joy is in the Shimmering, where neither and both selves are.
It is a Portal, a means to go beyond this Paradox that persists.
Through it you can open to Eternity and still be in the body.
You can own your known self and your unknowable self, too,
in the Unity beyond delusion.

Surrounded by garlands of Angels and legions of Saints,
the Eye of God --a bottomless sea of fluxing Paradox —
reflects all this into my soul.
